Congratulations Haley and Becca Jo!

In July, 2006, Becca Jo RKH was sold to Haley Latona and her mother, Penny, of Beach Park, IL. We are very excited for Haley, Becca, and Haley's family. The Latona's have several other beautiful and friendly horses to keep Becca company. Becca will be Haley's special riding horse.

Here is Haley taking Becca to her new home.

These are Becca's new playmates.

Here is our daughter, Genna, wishing Haley good luck.

This is the beautiful thank you note Haley made for us.

This is the wonderful letter we recieved from Haley and her mother, Penny.

Good Morning John,

Becca is doing well. She likes the comfort of the herd, and has made good friends with the chestnut next to her. She has also made friends with the big black and white as when she is on the pasture she can nose up to her at the back of the pen. We put her on the pasture yesterday morning. She will venture out to about the middle and then come trotting back to the herd. She's a bit nervous with all the new "neighbor" noises. She can hear what's going on through the tree line but she can't see it. She will travel further out into the pasture when the black at the far east end is out there on his side. She's very complacent when in the pen. The safety zone. She'll get over that when she gets used to the activity surrounding the property. I'm sure it's quite different than the Shady Grove. Traffic, airplanes, neighborhood kids hooting and hollering, etc. She's eating and drinking well, so no worries there. As soon as she sees Haley come through the barn she comes trotting up. Very nice for Haley. The connection is there. I'm so happy about that. Becca is so relaxed around Haley. Just kind of melts in her presence. I know they will make a great team. Becca being in foal is such a good learning opportunity for Haley. We've had mares foal out here in the past, but she's never been part of the record keeping, counting the days and the shot/wormer schedule for a pregnant mare. She's all about keeping lists and journals. She's very excited about making a count down calendar. When ever you get around to the medical records is fine, we have plenty of time. Haley is planning on riding Becca on Sunday. She wants to give her some time to get comfortable in her new surroundings. She had a project at school called literature day, where they had to pick a person from past history, read a book about them, do a book report and then dress as that person for the day at school. She chose Calamity Jane, so she wants to wear that costume for Halloween and ride Becca trick or treating through the neighborhood. Last year she was Zoro and we only made it to two houses before we had to bring Pinky home and take the tractor. This year she says she knows Becca will take her the whole way. I think she's right! We'll keep you posted and send some pictures of Becca through out her pregnancy. Thank you so much for a really great horse. It is truly a pleasure doing business with you and your family.
